Subject: Samson Teases at the Beginning of Drums
The end of Corrina > Drums is filled with the opening drums lines to Samson and Delilah. If I was on the dance floor and heard a Corrina > S&D, I would probably dance until my legs didn't work. But teasing S&D and then going into a 25 minute Drums/Space is a super momentum killer. Pretty decent '92 show overall..worth the listen on a low-key day at home.

This is the year I got into the Dead. I was born in '76, and the transition to loving the Dead as rock bottom as I do today has taken over a decade, and I didn't get to make it to a show until '95. Still, I am thankful for recordings. I know this isn't even a proper review. I honestly don't know how to compose one.

Strange Bobby played Desolation Row on my 22nd birthday.

Subject: Elegantly excellent!
Even though Garcia's playing is somewhat understated (almost as if he's still making room for Hornsby like he had to do for a year before), the whole band is very on. The recording is perfect, aside from the brittle-sounding high-end that laptap mentions (and at times this is quite pleasant), and you can hear Lesh being very bass-articulate. I didn't see this show, but I saw a little of the tour, and I don't care what the purist Deadheads say: '92 was among the Dead's best years.

Subject: I remember this show....
This show's quality is excellent due to the fact that 1/2 the audience was on the lawn which lent itself to the crowd rolling down the hill towards the sound boards. We forced a lot of energy into the band and recording devices...

Subject: Thanks!
Thanks for whomever is responsible for getting all my recordings up here on LMA. I guess I feel obligated to keep on transferring the rest.

Subject: Incredible sound - ditch the board, download this
I quickly found myself wondering, "Did a board slip through into Download Land here at archive?" No, my friends, believe it or not this is an AUD. The high end is clearer than the SBD - sometimes too clear, to the point of sounding brittle (MINOR kvetch!) Also, while there's not as much separation as on the SBD, you can hear the crowd consistently and clearly - there's none of the on again/off again nonsense as Garcia steps on and off his noise gate pad behind his mike. So yes, this is an AUD, and a damn fine one. By the time you read this I'll have the source up on gdluckynumbers.org. Begin downloading - now. :-)
